About the School

We are a new Japanese martial arts school located in midtown Manhattan dedicated to teaching the techniques & philosophy of Shorinji Kempo. Our martial art emphasizes neither the "martial" nor the "art" but a balance of both. Our goal is to teach a practical defensive martial art. You will be able to use these techniques immediately.

Shorinji Kempo does not allow it's schools to make a profit from teaching our techniqes and so our tuition is only used to pay our rent & martial arts equipment. As we are not commercially motivated our martial art schools tend to be small and emphasize individual development.
