Morgan Pulsifer: 4th Dan
Morgan Pulsifer is a long time New York City resident and student of the martial arts. Prior to joining Shorinji Kempo - NYC, Sensei Pulsifer was a student of Motohiko Eguchi a renowned Japanese Judo/Jujitsu Sensei of the Kodokan Judo Jujitsu dojo in Manhattan. He received the 2nd Dan level. In 1985, he became a student of Sensei Hiro Miyata who founded the original New York City Shorinji Kempo school now known as Shorinji Kempo NYC. Sensei Miyata, a Japanese native, is a 6th Dan Shorinji Kempo teacher in California.

In addition to Sensei Pulsifer's martial arts experience, he is a certified yoga / meditation teacher & shiatsu practitioner. He has 15 years of experience working as a registered nurse in various psychiatric hospitals in New York City. He is a behavior management instructor and teaches techniques to subdue violent patients without injury to them or staff members.

Zim Pham: 2nd Dan
Zim Pham has been practicing Shorinji Kempo for over 8 years. She studied w/ Sensei Gary Dolce (4th Dan) in Ann Arbor, MI where she earned Shodan (1st Dan) before moving to New York City. In 2004 she earned 2nd Dan at the NYC Shorinji Kempo School. Prior to SK she studied Shotokan Karate Do for 4 years.

Outside of her martial arts practice she a commercial photographer. She has owned and operated Zim Photography for over 15 years. Zim also enjoys mountain biking and lifting weights.
